En ze staan er zelf met hun gezonde ronde toet trots erbij te kijken. Laat ze zelf eerst eens een gelijksoortig BMI uitproberen, voordat ze beweren dat het allemaal ten goede komt aan de gezondheid en prestaties van die honden.

Hoe kun je zelf nog eten, als je hond er zó bijloopt

Maar stel, je hebt als fokker een corrupte malle rus te pakken die de titel de vrije markt op gooit, en je schaft je momentje van roem aan. Waarom zou je die hond niet alsnog gewoon een gezonde bak voer geven iedere dag?

Nou ik kan me niet voorstellen dat het zo gaat. Ik denk dat hier geen verwaarlozing maar een overtuiging achter schuil gaat.
Ik denk dat deze mensen echt denken dat zo'n windhond er zo uit hoort te zien.

Aan de verschillende foto's te zien is dit tafereel ook geen zeldzame uitzondering.

Iemand met gezond verstand die echt van z'n honden houdt en een lading shit via social media over zich heen krijgt over mogelijke ondervoeding, zou zich even goed achter de oren krabben en nog eens kritisch naar z'n honden kijken. Deze mevrouw niet. Nee. Volledig overtuigd dat die leken er allemaal de ballen verstand van hebben.

Waarom gaat PETA daaaarrr niet achteraan al die achterlijke honden shows .... , gewoon pure dieren mishandeling en die keurmeester moeten ze in de cel gooien en de sleutel weg gooien.........als je denkt dat het niet gekker kan is er altijd weer een overtreffende trap.

Having realised the uproar of emotions with regard to the pictures taken at the Russian Annual Sighthound Show in St Petersburg and published in social media, I would like to clarify the following:

I did not judge any of the breeds of the unhealthy dogs that were posted and published on Facebook.

I did judge Afghan Hounds, Greyhounds and Borzois during this show.

However, I was asked at the end of the day to stand and hold the ribbons of the majority of all the winners jointly with my fellow judges while photos were taken.

There were many dogs presented there to me and it was unfortunate that I did not notice the condition of the dog in question when it came to be photographed.

I should have been more observant when I presented the ribbons as it had been a long day. Thus it was only after the photos were published that I became aware of the situation.

I have personally made direct enquiries with the organising committee and was told that all dogs entered had been cleared by a veterinary inspection. Nevertheless, I expressed my concern about the apparently poor condition of some of the dogs that were shown there and intended to look more closely and officially into the matter upon my return at home.

I am deeply upset to have caused such a negative impression on the general public, especially because I have made it a point during all my Presidency of the FCI to always support welfare actions within the FCI and have a genuine personal commitment towards animal welfare and, specifically, the welfare of all our dogs.

Rest assured that I will proceed to establish and conduct further enquiries on this matter and will continue to make an endless effort to preserve and promote DOG WELFARE within the FCI.

Ik zie op Facebook mensen die vinden dat hij z'n keurmeesterschap neer moet leggen en ontslag moet nemen bij de FCI, omdat hij duidelijk niet in staat is geweest om te zien dat die honden uitgemergeld waren en de FCI in een verkeerd daglicht heeft gezet

Niet op de foto gaan staan met zo'n gratenpak?
Hier overheen kijken ben je wel ziende blind en waarschijnlijk vooral publciteitsgeil. Iets dat zo krom is valt niet niet meer recht te praten.
Als de FCI de shows in beter daglicht willen krijgen/houden, dan kunnen ze zich niet veroorloven om honden in deze conditie te laten winnen. Die horen ze niet eens toe te laten in de ring.

De Raad van Beheer ziet regelmatig ontwikkelingen en situaties vanuit de hondenwereld, waaronder op social media, die de Raad van Beheer verontrusten, maar die buiten zijn directe invloedsfeer liggen. De Raad van Beheer gaat daarbij niet in op individuele gevallen.

Dierenwelzijn staat bij de Raad van Beheer hoog in het vaandel en daar waar mogelijk stuurt de Raad aan op verbetering van de situatie. Binnen de directe invloedsfeer van de Raad van Beheer geschiedt dat door eigen opleidingstrajecten, gedragscodes, welzijnsteams en via gedelegeerden op shows en evenementen.

Nederland is de afgelopen jaren in de FCI Keurmeesterscommissie bepleiter en mede-initiator geweest van de gedragscode voor keurmeesters, het keuren op “fit for function”, de ontwikkeling van een internationale basisopleiding voor keurmeesters en bovenal de organisatie van congressen over het keuren van honden in relatie tot welzijn, gezondheid en “fit for function”. Nederland loopt daarbij voorop en heeft tot nu toe altijd het initiatief genomen om deze verbeteringen door te voeren en bespreekbaar te maken met de internationale hondenwereld.

Staat eigenlijk We reageren niet op gevallen maar nu reageren we wel maar we zeggen niet waarom?

Die man is ook maar een onderdeeltje in het grote geheel. Het houd elkaar allemaal in stand .
Je kunt er niet 1 uithalen als de grote boosdoener. Als je al ziet dat fokkers elkaar bijna afmaken of hun honden familie bedreigen zal het hier niet anders gaan.
Het is net als met andere organisaties , bedrijven of sporten en klokkenluiders.
