Canine Training

Hij ligt trouwens wel heel erg relaxt tijdens schietoefeningen zeg!

Hoog getrainde honden en dan nog zo'n enorme muilkorf?

Tsja, zoals de waard is,...

En waarom zou een hoog getrainde hond geen muilkorf om hoeven?
Ook hoog getrainde honden zijn geen robotjes. En zeker niet naar anderen dan hun geleiders. Als wij oefeningen gaan doen waarbij de hond af en toe gehandeld moet worden door anderen dan de geleider, abseilen, helikopter vervoer etc. dan krijgt de hond ook een muilkorf om, better safe then sorry.
Je weet nu eenmaal niet van tevoren hoe de hond op sommige dingen reageert. En ook bij hoog getrainde honden is de 1 nu eenmaal vriendelijker en opener van aard dan de ander. En hun bijtdrempel ligt vaak een stuk lager.
Daarnaast is het dus ook fijn om de hond te trainen in het dragen van een korf zodat ie niet de hele tijd bezig is deze af te krijgen, maar ook gewoon zijn taak doet zonder gehinderd/afgeleid te worden door de muilkorf.

En ik zie diverse ook met een stootkorf, dus een muilkorf waar ze mee kunnen stoten en hebben leren werken ermee.

Zelfs reddingshonden die we trainen in situaties zoals abseilen en helikoptervervoer, worden voorzien van een muilkorf. gewoon voor ieders veiligheid

Mmmm, stootkorf, nooit van gehoord. Dat is de korf op foto 3 en 7 neem ik aan, daar reageerde ik eigenlijk op.

Dat vind ik dan weer een stuk minder, die zoekende multipurpose hond. Prikband, slibketting én teletac. Doe er dan ook maar een brevet van onvermogen bij.

Ik schrik er ook van hoeveel halsbanden die hond om heeft Moet wel een hele gevaarlijke hond zijn dan als dat allemaal nodig is om hem in bedwang te houden.

helaas "vrij normaal" daar dat de honden dat van pups af aan allemaal om hebben. Of het nu nodig is of niet, slip, prikker, vaste band en veelal ook al een TT

De vader van mijn honden zit ook in Amerika. Als ik die website bekijk van hem en zijn nakomelingen dan zie ik er ook veel voorbij komen met zoveel riemen en kettingen om. Vind het wel behoorlijk materiaal wat er allemaal aan hangt. Lijkt me niet fijn voor die honden.

Wat een gewicht om die nekken zeg. Daar kan ik echt niks mee. Die hond heeft een plaatje van een koppie maar volgestopt met metaal

Israel Defense Forces

In this exercise held on February 2016 at the Golan Heights, commanders in the Nahal Brigade joined forces with the Armored Corps and the Combat Engineering Corps to test their collaboration. Drones, combat helicopters and dogs from the Oketz Canine Unit all took part in the multi-faceted drill.

op een bedenkelijk niveau vergeleken met hier kijk maar een hoeveel ongelukken en honden daar worden vermoord

Overigens..honden die je ziet op foto's van het Israelische leger, zouden zomaar eens van het nederlands bedrijf Four Winds K-9 kunnen zijn..

Een heel groot gedeelte van deze honden zijn afkomstig uit Nederland. Vrijwel nergens ter wereld is het niveau van honden zo hoog als hier in de KNPV. Nu de geleiders nog mee exporteren.

Maar ook daar wordt aan gewerkt gezien het feit dat er regelmatig KNPVers de aardbol over reizen om seminars/workshops te geven.
