Show training?

We will be showing dogs the first time at the Winner show.

Since I am very new at this, I would really like to train with the dogs, so they wont be running crazy, while I am being all nervous.

Is there any place in the Amsterdam area where show training (In Denmark we call it Ring training) is being offered? Or as an alternative is there maybe any breeder inhere, or that you know of that would offer such a training?

I am not only wanted to train the dogs, but also me, as I also need to learn about handling my dog the best. I hope you guys can help me out.

In Nederland hebben we inderdaad ook ringtraining. Wat je kan doen is is even bellen naar wat kynologen clubs en daar vragen of ze dat aanbieden.

In the Netherlands we also call it ring training. Most often given on Kynological clubs, KC. I'm not known in the Amsterdam area, maybe others can help you.

Thanks for so fast answers! I found it now on raad van beheers page, and I have written all in the area. I can see most places start in january actually, so that is perfect if we could get a spot on a team there!

Normally you can just step in with ringtraining. It's no course, but most of the time individual classes and you need to get a card for like 10 or 20 classes, but it's not like a course from lesson 1 till the end finished with an exam

er is een groot verschil met ringtrainingen hier vind ik
de ene ringtraining word gegeven door amateurs en je leert daar puur de basis, je hond leert betast te worden en netjes te staan en te lopen en jij leert hoe je dat moet doen en de figuren die je moet kunnen lopen etc.
Maar echt handlen leer je er niet, of je hond echt heel goed presenteren, want die mensen die je les geven zijn geen professionals qua handling.
Er zijn zeker wel hondenscholen die je dat wel kunnen leren maar die weet ik helaas niet voor je in de omgeving van Amsterdam.

De ringtrainster van de KC Dordt is echt heel fijn, ook ervaren exposanten komen daar voor ringtraining Helaas is dat niet echt in de buurt van Amsterdam
